Hi All.

Newby on here.

Been type 2 for 16 years and have neuropathy in my feet. I wear shoes and after an hour or so have pain, which I think is poor blood flow /neuropathy based.

About 5 years ago I bought a paid of Nike (possibly Pegasus) running shoes from America. They've fallen apart now.

I've tried buying New Balance 6-8E trainers, They are OK for around an hour, then the pain starts again. I have tried Jota trainers and the same. I've tried the 4E Nike trainers that you can get in the UK but they're the same so I end up going back to the originals, that as I say, are falling apart. Does anyone know of any shops that have a stock of anything I can try? Buying off the web is no good for me.

Thanks

Dave

Welcome to the forum @Dave Algeo

Sorry to hear about the pain in your feet :(

Unfortunately many of the high street (or out of town) sports retailers seem to offer a large number of versions of essentially the same shoes.

You may find there is one near you which offers more of a specialist range with more fittings? Or perhaps a more specialist running shop?

Must be very frustrating for you :(

You could try the company Cosyfeet. They have various stockist and a range of different styles.

@Dave Algeo My high risk podiatry clinic recommended both Cosyfeet and DB Shoes. I’ve just copied this from the DB Shoes website DB Wider Fit Shoes for ladies & men. DB Shoes, established in 1920 specialises in the design and supply of wide and deep fitting footwear.
