Extra Supplies On a Daily Basis

Hi,

I'm Type 1 Diabetic on Humalog 3x injections & Lantus 34u at bedtime.

What extra supplies ie lancets, needles, etc do you carry around with you on a daily basis.

It would depend on what sort of day it was.

Normal outing would be a couple of spare needles along with whichever pen was going to be needed as well as test kit, ensuring I've got enough insulin, needles and strips for the day.

If there's a chance of getting stranded somewhere I'd take enough for at least another day.

I tend to just have a few needles in my bag and load up with whatever's needed I suppose.🙂

I always have both my pens (humalog plus spare cartridge, and disposable lantus pen) in my handbag, plus meter, couple of lancets and a handful of needles. Enough to get through a day easily.

If I'm out for the day I'll take some needles, my test kit and both my insulin pens in case I don't get back home till late for some reason. And a generous supply of jelly babies, of course! 🙂

As above, but I also have a few lancets and have wine gums instead of jelly babies and I simply keep the whole lot in my bag all the time - even if I am just going round the corner - I think I always live in hope of meeting a friend who suggests going somewhere on the spur of the moment
(I don't think it's happened more than twice, but I can dream 😉)
