Experimenting

A recent post referred to the side effects of Proton Pump Inhibiotrs such as Lansoprazole. It got me thinking because I've been on Lansoprazole for five years due to daily aspirin. I hadn't realised that the Lansoprazole Patient Information Leaflet highlighted fatigue and low magnesium as side effects. As I have been recently diagnosed as having probable Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I have started my experiment. Took my last Lansoprazole Wednesday morning. Since Thursday Afternoon I've felt as if I was having withdrawal symptoms with bad headaches and yesterday trembling in my arms. Today I've had headaches but don't feel so bad and I'm not quite as tired even though I've taken Susie for a long walk. Will be interesting to see if Lansoprazole has been contributing to my awful fatigue.

I wonder if it could be Amanda? Given that you appear to have had withdrawal symptoms it does suggest quite a powerful effect. Hope you have found a possible cause that can be overcome 🙂

The Withdrawl symptoms appear to have finished🙂 Now got to see if it helps the fatigue.....so far I have had an afternoon sleep every day for the last week, but today's sleep was the shortest at one hour
