Would you like the opportunity to express your own views and experiences about being in a couple relationship with Type 2 Diabetes?

My name is Sumaya Rashid and I am doing a MSc Health Psychology at Middlesex University. My research aims to understand the impact of diabetes in couple relationships. I am interested in your experiences and would like people with diabetes to be heard I hope to gather enough information to create awareness and support for those diagnosed.

The research involves a flexible one-off interviews arranged at a time to suit you, where you can talk about whatever you like with regards to Type 2 Diabetes and couple experiences. This will be via Skype or Facetime or at Middlesex University campus. Information provided will be completely confidential and anonymised.

If you are interested please contact me on sr1246@live.mdx.ac.uk

Thank you for taking your time and reading this post!

If you are interested in participating, or would like to know more about the research, please feel free to contact me. Or if you know any couples where a partner is diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and think they may be interested in sharing their experiences, please pass on my details.

If you have Type 2 diabetes and are in a couple relationship, please contact me on sr1246@live.mdx.ac.uk if you can participate in my research. This would be a great experience for individuals to express your thoughts and feeling and have your voice heard. This research is important for future practitioners as it will provide an insight into the effect of partner support and individual experiences.

Please contact me, as i am currently looking for participants to take part in my study, this will be via the comfort in your own home through a Skype conversation.

It might help to specify clearly (possibly by editing the original post) what you are researching on.

Putting the text AS TEXT in the post will be much more accessible for tools such as screen readers than embedded in a .png image.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have made the changes ;-)

Why only Type 2 - any type of diabetes has an impact on everyone sharing their life or part of it with the diabetic person!

I'm hideous and single so I won't participate.

Yes, i understand that Type 1 diabetes may have an impact of individuals, however my research is just focusing on Type 2 diabetics and it is too late for me to change the requirements as i have a short amount of time to collect data. However, i am interested to carry out follow-up study on people with type 1 diabetes. Sorry about that i hope you understand.
