hi
@CatLady2024
I’ve been on Mounjaro for just over 6 months now myself
I’m slightly suprised whoever had prescribed it didn’t go through what you would expect, were you prescribed through your HCP or is it a PrivatePrescription (Self Funded) ?
I’m assuming as your at risk of Diabetes
possibly you were prescribed bu your GP ?
Obviously the 2.5mg dose is the introductory dose
that you will usually take for the first 4 weeks
I had no side effects on the 2.5/5/7.5
but now I’ve just moved up to the 10
I might actually speak to my GP about going back to a smaller dose
I know a few people (both on the forum and off the forum)
that are prescribed on the NHS and self funding
without any side effects
other than don’t want to eat so much / feel fuller after starting to eat
I would say as a tip , make sure you are well hydrated, still exercise & eat healthy
although like any Medication it (for some can have unwelcome side effects)
Hope you get on well with MJ and see the results your looking for
there’s a few posts started by different people on the forum regarding Mounjaro
also this posted by DiabetesUK on the main website is a good source of information & worth a read
Mounjaro is a type of medication you might need to take if you have type 2 dia
