Last night I decided to start up my exercise routine (after a while of not doing anything in particular 😱). My BG was 7.7 before I started and I went for a 1.5 mile jog then did 10 minutes of other exercises on the Wii Fit. I then went straight into the shower and when I came out felt hypo so tested and was 3.2. I had a bowl of oatiflakes with banana and was 8.8 before bed but this morning I woke on a 12 😡 Not sure if the exercise would've made the BG go up later or whether I may have had another hypo during the night?

It is possible you had a mild hypo in the night - I find I have to start considering reducing my basal when I get back into exercise after a bit of a layoff. For me, the effects of exercise i.e. being more insulin-sensitive, tends to last for the next 40 hours! Recently I have been running a lot more and have had a few night hypos despite lowering my lantus - just not lowering it quickly enough! It has dropped 40% in the past week 😱
