Yoga.

I have a big trampoline in the garden - useful as a yoga mat as well as for bouncing.

Hello everyone! Does anybody have any low impact exercises they enjoy or would like to share? 😎
I love walking and mountain biking as low impact options. Also, lifting weights.

I've got dumbbells and other stuff at home. You can buy them little by little, if budget is a problem. That's what we did.

Elastic bands and no equipment calisthenics are also options.

Then, there's swimming.

I'd say the easiest and cheapest one is really walking.

Hi @Jacqueline DUK , I'd say walking (in good footwear) and swimming. Also simple limbering-up and stretching exercises. Hope this helps. Nick

Just walking for me.

I keep not starting doing any resistance or strength training 🙂

I do the gym, there are good choices there, but recently I've started aqua aerobics, that can be low impact, and as hard or easy as you want it to be.

I walk and do some low impact aerobic exercises I found on YouTube ( I searched for exercises to lower blood sugar ).
I did tai chi for a while too.

I find gardening a useful form of modest exercise, providing a variety of movements, lifting, stretching, bending, walking etc. The trick is to not do too much of any one type of garden activity for long and mix things up. I'm helped from time to time: my battery powered mower only cuts part of the area of lawn needing cutting, so mow a bit then do something else while the battery recharges!! Never a shortage of beds to weed, hedges to trim or cut more thoroughly, edges to tidy up, repairs or maintenance to equipment; the tasks seem endless.

I like walking on the beach whilst listening to some classical music.

It depends on how exercise impacts you. I have mechanical problems with my feet so jumping, running, dancing, even the treadmill are out. A bike (stationary if it’s better) can be pretty low impact because you decide how fast. There are some that put you in more of a seated position than upright. Gyms have different varieties & leisure centres will specialise in working with people who need equipment or advice on low impact exercise.

Swimming, walking, water aerobics, house work are all good examples given by others. But you can find low impact exercises that you can do at home by searching YouTube. Might need to experiment with a few until you find ones that you like. It’s also free!

Good luck!
