Eurovision.

Spain should have come higher @Chris Hobson It was certainly better than the U.K. IMO. I assumed it would be in the top half. I was surprised that Iceland came so low too actually, as I preferred that to the Swedish jokey song.
 
For those who think that Eurovision does not include a wide enough selection of countries, they could try last night's episode of Dr Who. As the adverts say, catch up iplayer.
 
I just came back to this thread to mention that the Spanish entry, Esa Diva by Melody Gardot, is the song that I'm still listening to two months on. Brilliant song, brilliant vocal performance, easily the best song this year and proof that both the public and the jury have all got cloth ears, so there.
 
Yes, I’m stilling listening to that one too - excellent song. Others have grown on me though, eg the Ukraine entry which I didn’t much like the first couple of times I heard it.
