Can they show you the recipe and then you could work out the carbs for the whole thing and if you have a piece about a tenth of it then divide the total carbs in it by 10.
That would be 'a best guess'. I assume that would mean you could calculate your insulin dose for it.

Good idea but I don't who it was they just left it in a kitchen with a note saying please eat me.

I generally look at each ingredient for its carbs, add them altogether and then work out how much I have eaten - maybe 10%, or whatever, of the whole thing, then divide the carbs by the same percentage.
You might also find that putting "homemade banana bread" into the food diary could bring up some options - the more closer they are in carbs, the easier it will be to make a fair estimate.
Sometimes you can check the recipe used - my food diary lets me add online links, so that helps me that way.

Just guess based on similar shop-bought cakes you have. Underestimate then take extra insulin if you go too high. I recommend having a bite before you bolus so you can judge the sweetness and so estimate carbs more closely.

How did you manage with your guessing @rayray119 ? I hope you enjoyed the cake.
I haven't actually eating any yet. I might if it's still there(it was covered in a box)

Well I've finally eatem some (grabbed the last last bit well I had the chance) I'll see how it goes letter
