Stumbled upon this on google. Can’t say how much of an important breakthrough it would be if it ever came to fruition.

I wouldn't hold my breath, but it's certainly still a step in the right direction!
 
They've been promising this as long as I've had diabetes - so don't get holding you breath! After all they're still telling newbies there will be a cure within 10 years same as they assured me in 1972 and it's a bit like when I was assimilated into the family (2nd wife of 2nd husband) when I asked the eldest grandchild if she wasn't going to eat her crusts? She explained to me there and then that eating them didn't actually make your hair curl, however many you ate - and it was simply a LIE that grown-ups tell you!

And THAT explanation ever was and still is, 100% TRUE!
 
Interesting to see the longer-lasting implanted ones being trialled ‘in the wild’ now too. Like ‘eversense’ which I think is the one Roche are part of. Or is that another one?? There are so many on the go at the moment (sugarbeat etc) that I lose count!
