You get to that point in the day where you've had your lunch and its now three o'clock and your trying ro get the last bit off the day in is there any good suggestions on what to eat drink or take that would give you a boost without caffine

What do you have for lunch? If I have a lot of bread, or other carbs, I find I'm falling asleep by 3 o'clock, but if I have more protein and salad, and perhaps a bit of fruit, and cut out the bread, I've got enough energy to see me through without needing to eat or having a caffeine boost.

Yes well bread is my down fall i love bread so a normal lunch is sandwiches and yougurt and packet off crisps and maybe apple or oranges . So i need to be eating more tuna and stuff like that ?

Less crisps as a start off - and that's two puddings you're having there - a yog AND a piece of fruit ! At first just drop the crisps, keep the yog but save the apple or orange to enjoy at 3 o'clock. If you just have more filling in the sandwich - whatever protein is in it - cheese, egg, a meat or tuna etc - you won't actually miss the crisps.

The next step is probably to swap the ordinary bread for eg Burgen soya and linseed bread - a LOT less carbohydrate in that than normal bread. If you need to go further, after that swap the Burgen for a couple of Ryvita - just to balance all that 'filling' on! they are half the carb of the Burgen.

Now - do you buy small apples and the little oranges? A large Jaffa for instance has shedloads of carbs, whereas a little 'easy peeler' type has a lot less.
