Went to have my bloods taken this morning and she took 3 bottles full😱 Now only have to wait for the results, seeing the surgery nurse on 22nd May. Fingers crossed for some good results for a change.

Fingers crossed you'll have excellent results.
In my old job I could sometimes be heard telling a blood donor if they asked what the samples were for , that I was chief taster.

As I said to someone else today - not as much as 3 teaspoons. The innards of those vials they use, don't come out to the outside wall of em, you know!

When I was admitted for investigation of my motor neuropathy, they put a butterfly needle in the arm and filled fourteen sample bottles, and I know for a fact one of em was a test for syphilis. Negative, of course, more by luck than judgement.

Good luck Malturn

Glad they found a vein which is more than can be said at my hospital visit though. The nurse decided it was a better option to get an anaesthetist to find the vein and insert the cannula. Thus an interesting discussion insured with the lovely gentleman about my pump and sensors 🙂

Ouch! Chief vampire was thirsty, Malturn.🙄 Good luck with those results.🙂

In the final stages of pre bone marrow transplant screening (donation end for me, not receiving, thankfully!), the "kit" for the samples came in it's own carrier bag, and it was pretty well filled. The blood had to be drawn by my GP, who was supposed to include some counselling in that stage of the process. The extent of the counselling went something like,......

"So, here we go. Don't for an instant think about telling me you have doubts about this whole thing."

Fortunately, I was not having doubts at all, but it struck me it might have been easier to just donate a pint of blood and let them divide it up in their own time. Fortunately, I have blood vessels like the Channel Tunnel.

Good luck. 🙂

I know but it still looks a lot and I prefer my claret to be inside me and not in a bottle😉

Just got to wait now for the results. Still I should be able to see them on line before I see the nurse on the 22nd.
