Today Ellie and Jones were presented with the PDSA Gold Medal for saving Les's life almost 2 years ago.

The PDSA Gold Medal, is seen in the animal world as being the equivalent as the George Medal, the highest honour that can be bestowed to a civilian animal, only 19 other Medals have been awarded previous.

The presentation was at the Old Hall, The honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn London. (Law society and yes we did see Barristers going to and from chambers).

Joanna Page did the introduction, sadly Princess Alexandria who was due to present Ellie and Jones with their medal's had to pull out at the last minute due to illness, so Jan Macloughlin the PDSA Director General, Step in to bestow the honours.

Before we leave London tomorrow, we have been asked to appear 'This Morning' Program what time we will actually appear I don't know, just sometime between 10.30qm and 12.30pm, we will be with two of the other dogs that have also won the Gold Medal, a Police dog and a little dog..

That is absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to all of you

Superb news and very well-deserved to your two hero dogs! 🙂 What an honour!

Aw, that's great! Well deserved! 🙂 I will have to try & catch that on tv tomorrow... 🙂

You can't really put it into words how proud we are of Ellie and Jones...

The Lincolins Inn is an amazing place indeed, but sadly didn't get a chance to get some photo's of it.. And the Old Hall is a wow place indeed the architecture just amazing...

We had barristers stop for a natter, when we took Ellie and Jones outside for a bit of a chill out. When Lady Powell arrived she saw us outside, and well straight over to make a fuss of Ellie and Jones, then asked to have a photograph with us, so gave somebody her mobile, then after this got them to hike the official photographer out as well...

And Joanna Page, she's absolutely lovely, such a easy person to talk with, really down to earth..

I shall try when I get home upload some photo's..

As tomorrow, well going to be some fun going on there, the police dog received his award for defending his handler who'd been stabbed, also receiving stab wounds himself..

And a little Yorkie, who managed to call help for it's elderly owner, wonder whether the yokie gonna and try to cause some trouble!

Well done to Ellie and Jones 🙂

Lincoln's Inn is only be a stones throw from where the London meet is being held. Shame you are a week and a bit early.

Typical...

If it been a couple of days earlier it would have fell on mine and Les wedding anniversary!

Mind you I've been surprised by the hotel, not only were they happy about having 2 German Shepherds, normally it's one thing to get an hotel to take a dog and a totally different one when German Shepherds are involved! They're normally a no-no...

But absolutely no problems here, we've been able even take them into the restaurant, even the taxi's have no problems with the dogs at all... Unlike where I live, which is extremely difficult to get a taxi to take a dog..

Very impressive, you must be so proud. I will look out for their appearance on "this morning" x 🙂
