Mother and son Elizabeth and Luke Davies will be taking part in the Greater Manchester Run to raise money for Diabetes UK.
The duo are aiming to raise around £400 for the leading charity that cares, connects and campaigns on behalf of people with diabetes.
Elizabeth said: “My husband and my step daughter both have type 1 diabetes so it was an easy charity to choose really.”
Both Elizabeth and Luke took part in the run last year. “It was really enjoyable last time we did it. I hadn’t run up until that point and my son talked me in to doing it,” added Elizabeth.
