The Electronic Prescription Service in dispensing practice is "floating up" NHS England's agenda, Beverley Bryant, NHS England director of strategic systems and technology, has told DDA Online.
Responding to a question from DDA Online, she revealed that NHS England "was starting to see a lot of feedback on this issue" and that her organisation fully acknowledged dispensing practice's wish to have access to the EPS.
She confessed that delivering EPS access in dispensing practice has not, to date, been high on her agenda but that it was now "floating up". She also accepted that NHS England's implementation of IT in primary care could not be considered complete until this has been achieved.
