East Lindsey District Council is launching a new family-based health project in an effort to combat rising levels of obesity and diabetes in the region.
The project, funded by NHS Lincolnshire and delivered by the District Council, targets families that are overwight or at risk of becoming so, due to other factors within their lives.
Currently, 25 per cent of adults and 20 per cent of year six children in East Lindsey are classed as obese.
