I was told that eggs, meat, fats are 'free' for LO, she's had scrambled egg for lunch and I know they have tiny carbs in but her blood sugar is rising although slowly. How do I manage such a meal?

You would not normally cover insulin for these things, however if eaten alone can cause the protein to bed used in a similar way to carbs. Best to have something like a yogurt or cheese at the same time

I didn't give her any with it and as it happens she went up a point and came back down after, maybe because there was a good amount of fat in the eggs? Last week I give her a no carb meal and watched her, by next meal she was up to 9mmol so then got a 0.5 unit correction which worked wonderfully. I suppose it's a matter of trial and error
