Morning Guys, got home around 3.15 as I was working last night in the city doing Security for a wedding reception. I had a meal at 9pm but didn't want to take my Metformin as I know that it can make me hungry a few hours later. Well when I got home I had a cup of tea with chocolate biscuits and decided to take my Metformin. I woke up at 7.45. Took my blood pressure meds, then had a banana and at 10am a boiled egg sandwich and tea. I also had a dark bounty bar as I felt peckish. I noticed I was sweating a bit. When I got to Highbury. It felt like I was weak and almost wobbly. I had to eat dried fruit and just had a suasaage baguette and tea before I felt better. Wonder if my Blood Sugar was too low. I really think I need a monitor to check my blood sugar. It could be my Metf dosage is too high. But I have noticed in the past boiled eggs with my Metformin left me feeling funny. Now with my Venlafaxine too.... I might has well have drunk water.
Ooooh dear.

Also I realised that while I thought the controlled blood sugar was down to the Metf. It was down to me. I must confess I never really studied Metf before. I know it keeps the blood sugar low. Now I realise when Docs say I have good control, as I am doing the work. It just controls it. Shaking my head. I no longer lose weight with it like I did 6 years ago. So down to me...yayyy

Not everyone loses weight on Metformin.

So so true. Also I have going to the gym for 4 months. This would have an effect on my body and sugars overall. Probably needs adjusting me thinks the metf

I reckon that My blood sugar was lowish in the morning as I took my Metf quite late, and Venlafaxine can interfere with blood sugar. I have had a reaction with Metf and boiled eggs before, but not with Venlafaxine. Onwards and Upwards
