I had a nasty little surprise today :(

I was out playing with my little boy for a morning whilst my wife was busy at her handmade market when I started feeling a little light headed and my tummy was rumbling. The last time I had the feeling I measured 4.0 on my meter, so I thought, ah, I'm low.

I grabbed on tiny (smaller then a jellybaby) piece of dried fruit from little boy's snack pot to keep me going and we headed for lunch slightly earlier then planned but I didn't measure. After lunch we headed to the library and we played and read a while. After a while, my head wasn't feeling quite right so I wondered if I was heading low again, but this time I measure myself - 8.9 😱

I decided this evening to do a pre and post meal just to see where I am. Before was 4.7, after was 8.7! A delta of 4. Previously when I've eaten the same meal (our menu is fairly fixed to keep my wifes IBS in check) I've measured a delta of 1.1

Now, I did get a delta of 3 last week at lunch when I'd decided not to make my normal burgen bread sandwiches and opted for meatballs and pasta from the work cafe. Now, I put that down to a blip - or at least don't eat it again.

It seems that in the last week or so my post-prandials are starting to go high! The question is why?

Previously I haven't had a post-prandial above 8 since October 2011 and since then my pre-meals have dropped from the 5's into the 4's.
