Has anyone had a 72 hour ECG whilst wearing a Libre Sensor? Is there any interaction between the two? I have to have such an ECG next week to determine whether I have atrial fibrillation and whether that caused the stroke in October. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Flutterby.
I had a ambulatory ECG for 72 hours and I did not notice any impact on my Libre readings.
(Just the itchiness after the ECG patches were removed!)

I had an ambulatory (continus) ECG for a whole week. Don't have a pump. I guess there wouldn't be an interaction.
Ask whoever you see to get the ECG machine.

How are you doing @Flutterby ? I was thinking about you the other day. I hope your recovery’s going well.

Hello and thank you for asking it's really nice that you have been thinking about me. My walking has improved quite a lot and I am able to walk unaided in the bungalow where I am staying. At home I have stairs and although I am now much better at going up and down its different when I am very tired.

Due to the present situation I am not going out much and in a way the whole covid business is making it harder as there is not a lot to aim for.

I am walking with a stick or a wheeled walker when out and I can still feel the weakness in my right leg particularly the hip and knee.

I am on clopidogrel to thin my blood but the drug they give to protect the stomach can lower sodium levels so I am not allowed it at the moment.

I am really struggling with my mental health at times, were it not for covid I would be trying to live live to the full but like everyone else I am just trying to stay alive!

I am lucky to still be here but this is my 3rd stroke in 10 years and as yet they don't know why.

Thank you so much for asking, sorry for the long response.

It’s great to hear you’re up n about and improving @Flutterby. 🙂 I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with your mental health tho. I know wot you mean about having less to aim for because of Covid. I’ve been forcing myself to get enthusiastic about the most basic things - even cleaning (!) - just to remind myself what enthusiasm feels like LOL.😛o_O It sounds like you’re doing really well under the circumstances. Take care.:D

Ah thanks, You know things are bad when cleaning the oven has wellbeing benefits! I find that even having a shower is tiring, not really the right word but ir seems to take longer and require more effort, I expect my brain has to work harder than I realise so I will leave cleaning the oven for now haha. I am thinking of a bit of online browsing this afternoon. I know the sales are on so maybe a new warm jumper or better still some bargain books!

Thank you for being interested and for your encouragement.

My spirit is sometimes willing where cleaning is concerned - but my flesh is always weak.

I've stopped using the gas oven - the regulo hasn't worked properly for at least 5 years - what is it about husbands who can't understand that when you get old, you don't function as well as you did whether you're a household appliance or a human bean?

PS - meant to add, so hence I don't need to clean the oven LOL, only just realised I hadn't, cos someone recommended it to reduce BG - surely not if your left knee's in agony throughout?
