I'm eating out tonight - I'll probably get shouted at now but.....I'm having what is 'my' favourite......scampi and chips.
As some of you can probably tell from my recent 'eating out' threads I've been very stressed about working out the carbs because it's not like being at home where you can look on food packets or weigh things out but a massive thanks to my hubby who has booked this meal out for us as a surprise and who must really care about me because he too knows how stressed I've been getting recently about eating out and my carb counting so he's bought me these for my
handbag

Awww thank you so much!

It’s very thoughtful but I’m not sure how it will work. Will the plate not be bigger than the scale? Or will you have to take a seperate small plate and replate all the food to weigh it? Eating out is usually large plates. Enjoy your meal whatever happens

We had a set of those scales once. They were great!

Enjoy your meal 🙂

Enjoy your meal out, I too have been a bit naughty this evening, as the weather has been so lovely, decided to get fish and chips to eat on the beach. Couldn't weigh it so Googled the carb content on line to give me some idea , then sat down and enjoyed the meal .

We asked for a side plate. I enjoyed my meal thank you.

I enjoyed my meal out. Hope you enjoyed your fish and chips on the beach - sounds lovely!

I decided to have a starter which was creamy garlic mushrooms and 1 slice of garlic bread.

Tested before eating and BGL was 4.5 - didn't test again after eating because it would just be higher anyway - injected 4 hours after eating which was bedtime 5.8 - in range but below 8mmol so had 1 bag of mini cheddars

I have a pair of those scales - very useful for cake weighing when out and about! Good for you, glad you enjoyed your meal.

We are scales twins lol! They helped me a lot last night. Do you ask for a separate plate too for weighing your cake? Thanks re my meal I really enjoyed it.

Last night I felt quite relaxed eating out and using my scales - I had my favourite of scampi and chips and instead of putting eg what I thought I would eat of the scampi onto the spare plate to weigh I put all the scampi on the plate and weighed it all together then the same with the chips - I then got on with eating and enjoying my meal then what was left of the scampi I weighed and deducted the weight from the first weight of 'all' the scampi - did the same with the chips and found this a much better and easier way 🙂
