Hi Guys,

has anyone read this book or tried out the suggestions? I have had a couple of discussions with dieticians about it and they have been, shall we say patronizing at best.......

I am finding it quite frustrating dealing with some of the medical staff who think I am under-qualified, or a hippy for trying to find ways to help my kids bodies deal with things better!!

Does anybody agree that we should be encouraged to find complimentary treatments?

I am all for trying whatever you like! After all - you are still taking your insulin and doing everything for your type 1, so why shouldn't you try a different diet?

Personally I'm never sold on (what I consider to be) fad diets, but if you want to try it, go for it.

I'm very sceptical unless there's some scientific basis for it, but agree with Shiv that as long as its well balanced and nutritious, it's all food.

THere's a lot of people who make a lot of money by dressing up ordinary things as something special. My opinion. 🙂
