Happy Easter to one and al. Wondering how many of us are tempted to cheat (if only a little bit) at this time of year. Especially when your grandchildren off you a piece-of theirs!

I have an urge for a hot cross bun. But not worried about missing out on chocolate.

I don't like chocolate so no worries regarding over indulging 🙂
It's not cheating either to eat chocolate or anything else you fancy moderation is the name of the game. Enjoy your chocolate 🙂

I have a square of dark chocolate most days broken into 4 pieces and eaten a piece at a time throughout the day with a teaspoon of peanut butter, which makes it more satisfying and takes some of the bitterness off the chocolate. I won't be having anything different over Easter. I was a chocoholic pre diagnosis so I have to keep a lid on it.
Must confess I used to love hot cross buns and would eat them as a grab and go breakfast throughout the year pre diagnosis but I can't get away with eating them now as they set me away craving, as most bread products do. Just not worth the aggravation for me and 40-50g carbs at one go is too big a glucose hit.

Wouldn't waste money on chocolate egg far better value in big bar of chocolate.

Not been eating as much chocs lately as been on diet, but was in morrisons yesterday & got 2 bars of Cadbury whole nut for me & Mrs, will have them tomorrow with Costa coffee.

I’ve eaten a fair amount of Easter chocolate already over the past few weeks. It’s fine as long as I space it out and choose an appropriate time to eat it. Anything major, I inject for.

I got myself a bar of chocolate with micro mini eggs in it and a small thing from Reese's (basically 2 PB cups but in egg shape). Then next day at work the company gave me a white chocolate sheep. It is cute and I appreciate the gesture but I don't really like white chocolate, so I don't think it's worth the sugar. I may give it to someone else

Well my nan sent me this lot I have to eat it. (Not all in one go though)

Oh! How I’d love an Easter egg!
I’m trying to be good,
It would help if I was living
In an egg-free neighbourhood!

I see them stacked up in the shops
Row on row on row –
So tempting and alluring,
I could eat them in one go!

Why don’t they think of folks like me
And make them out of meat?
An egg made out of beef or spam
Would not be such a treat…

Or if they got some garden dirt
And made them out of mud,
That wouldn’t be appealing
For it wouldn’t taste as good!

Why can’t they use a slab of lard
And carve one out of fat?
Then it would be disgusting
And I wouldn’t fancy that!

A friend suggested, maybe
If they made one out of wood –
It’s low G.I. and fibre-rich,
And might do me some good!

No, an egg made out of chocolate
Is the only way to go,
So I’ll eat my egg in secret
And no-one will ever know.

I think we need to treat ourselves,
Not live in constant fear –
Just have some fun like everyone,
It’s only once a year! :D

I've had no desire for chocolate, but did have a pack of M&S hot cross buns which I put in the freezer.
