Easing of restrictions - routine clinics?

She's entirely self employed, she said when I asked her. She can 'do' 4 such visits an hour, she says the needles and vials cost c £1 per patient on average and doesn't reckon that's a bad hourly rate for any job!

I have considered using the lady who came to me again, on an almost routine basis.

When I have my bloods done, it's a 30 mile round trip to the hospital, plus parking (if I'm slow, but often in and out within the 30 minutes free parking at the LRI), plus I'll usually stop off at Costa near the hospital as psychologically I'm usually ravenous. I can fast until lunchtime or later, except when having having bloods drawn.

So, all in all, it's hardly cheaper to make the trip, than to have the lady drop in, drawing blood, as the kettle boils. 🙂

Never had to travel further than ? quarter of a mile to get my blood taken till I moved here; now it's a mile and a half/2 miles ish - when we can go to the Drs that is.

Be interesting later on, since I have 2 different appointments at Rugby hospital, but annoyingly on consecutive days. However, the Diabetes clinic one is the second one, hence I'd be able to go to the leech clinic there on Day 1, cos the clinic would have the results next day anyway. Day 1 thing doesn't involve blood!
