Well, i finally had my licence back, renewed. It took 4 months from the date they received the application to me getting it back. At least thats it now for another 3 years.

Thank you. Yep, i know i was allowed to drive under Section 88 but i feel better knowing i've got my licence. Hopefully in 3 years time i'll just be able to apply online which will be easier. The only reason i couldn't this time was because the DVLA also sent me forms for another medical condition (which i don't have) and i had to send a copy of a letter confirming that i don't have this condition, just diabetes. I hope the DVLA have now changed their records!
