hi ..new to this... diagnosed in November... type 2... do I have to notify dvla?... I've been given Metformin..and told to watch my diet until I have another blood test in February... so flying blind at the minute.. with some help from you all on here... thank goodness...

Hello,
in answer to your question no you do not need to inform the DVLA 🙂

o great... thank you so much.. another quick question... is there a set number of carbs per day?.. and if I have cornflakes around 9... is it normal to feel really tired about an hour later... and which milk is best... sorry that's 3 questions.. not 1...

There's no set number of carbs but low carb is considered to be less than 130g per day, although many members go lower and some go much lower. How many carbs we can manage is very individual as we are all different. I try and keep to a max 30g per meal but that's almost a whole day's worth for some.

Cornflakes are 84% carbohydrate. Most breakfast cereals are high carb.

Most would suggest full fat milk as when going low carb the only alternative sources of nutrition are fat and protein.
thank you.. that helps a lot....
