DVLA, the organisation responsible for driving licenses, is running a consultation about their new Motoring Services Strategy: 2016 – 2020. You can view the draft strategy and the full consultation documents here:

The consultation is very broad and most of it does not relate to licences for people with diabetes, but as part of the consultation they are interested in hearing suggestions about how the Drivers Medical Group might resolve cases more quickly. Drivers Medical Group deal with licences for people treated with insulin. People with diabetes treated with insulin have to reapply for their licence at least every three years and Diabetes UK often hear from people who have experienced delays.
Diabetes UK will be responding to this consultation in early January and we are keen to hear your views through this short survey
