A big-hearted Dumfries teenager is on a mission to raise lots of cash for charities close to his heart.
Aydn Jackson will host a football festival at Palmerston Park next month in aid of Diabetes UK.
The 16-year-old former St Joseph’s College pupil was inspired after watching his nan manage the condition for years.
Aydn, who helps out with his grandpa’s DJ business, said: “Diabetes is not an easy thing to deal with.
“I’m really close to my nan so it means a lot to me to raise money and awareness, because I don’t think people know much about it.”
