Duligatide - sorry abt spelling

So I went and picked up these injections today, was told some would be available to help me with the first one... no one available, I was handed them and told to be aware that someone recently from the area had such severe heartburn they thought it was a heart attack I'm worried what I'm about to inject inside me ( if I work up the courage) I've heard nothing but bad things...

Of course you've only heard bad things, Becky, because it's only people who experience side effects who post on the message boards. Less than 10% experience significant side effects, so if you have been advised to try this by a diabetes specialist, then try it. The odds are against you getting bad side effects. Any ill effects will reduce over time anyway, as your body gets used to the medication.

Many of our members have had great success with medications of this type, Becky, and some have also found that they can't tolerate the side-effects. Side effects members here have reported most often are feelings of nausea, which can subside over a couple of weeks. Some people got no side-effects until the dose was increased, and some got no side-effects at all. Some have had no side-effects, but neither have the medications done diddlysquat (technical term 😉) to help their blood sugar control or help them lose weight.

So, there's quite a variety of experience! 🙂 I hope that you find you tolerate the medication well, and also that it works well for you - let us know how you get on 🙂

Thank you for replying.... so far so good, no side effects at all apart from a massive loss of appetite which is ok by me.... scales at gp this morning say a 5 kilo weight loss in 4 days which I find hard to believe but I can't eat more than a few mouthfuls... other than that feeling pretty good just hope it continues.
