Hi all,

Just cant decide on changing my membership to the supporter membership or the Life Benficator.

Has anyone changed theirs? what do you think of the members only area on the DUK website?

Cheers x

To be honest it depends how long you're going to live for, the minimum gift for life is ?350 while you could gift ?10 a year on an individual basis and live 40 years and therefore give them ?400.

It really comes down to how much you can afford, if you found you had a spare ?1,000 now then the life membership would be great. However, if like most of us you find you have varying demands on your income through life then the individual scheme works best.

I am sure DUK would be happy with either option.

Personally I am on the individual scheme through my annual subscription, works for me. And there is nothing to stop you gifting DUK in your will as well!

Think I'm with Einstein on this one, but haven't checked it all out myself yet!

I sent them an email to ask them if I upgrade to the Life Benefactor online (which I think I might do, as I am planning a very long and healthy life!) does this mean that my repeat debit for my current membership will automatically stoppped/ammended? The reply was bizarre, if I had any questions to call their helpline! (I do have a question, I just emailed it to you, please answer it!) and if I was concerned to wait until my membership expires and upgrade then (!). Ridculous, I thought and a classic exapmple of how not to answer a question! My money will come out automatically as a direct debit when my membership runs out, all I am asking is for them to cancel it accordingly.

Oh well, its their loss!
