I've been invited to a meeting of the local chapter of DUK tonight. Do I need to roll up me trouser leg?

But seriously, I haven't gone along before because it was taking everything I had just to cope with my little part-time job when what I really wanted to do was curl up and die. That I'm willing to go along is another sign of the massive change in my health and outlook since starting on insulin.

Don't laugh but I got elected onto the committee! I didn't realise tonight was their AGM and I'm not sure how it happened, I thought I was volunteering to help out at a fund raising event and the next thing I know I'm elected. They're a nice bunch, a bit earnest but I liked them. I just happened to mention the forum to one or two of them so we may see a couple more Highlanders joining.

Nope, just a cup of tea and a scone, and I didn't have the scone. I didn't get to roll up my trouser leg either, probably just as well.
