I just wanted to flag up the Diabetes UK ‘Insider’ day in Glasgow on 21 March for anyone interested in the latest information and research into diabetes management, islets, DIRECT trial, mental health and more.

https://www.diabetes.org.uk/diabetes-uk-professional-conference/insider-event

It will be a fascinating day, packed with sessions and presentations - and the vast majority of people who have been to previous Insider events would recommend them to others.

Insider follows the Diabetes UK Professional Conference, and Insider is a way for people with diabetes to have direct access to some of the most exciting and important research and information presented at the conference.

If Glasgow is a bit far away, you can access Insider content via webcast for free. There is a small entry charge if you attend in person.

I have been lucky enough to attend a couple of professional conferences in the past as part of the blogger/press team and would highly recommend Insider if you want to learn more about the current research findings, treatment options and clinical approaches to diabetes management.

Just giving this a gentle bump

Thanks Mike, this looks very interesting, and I am hoping to attend, but still trying to work out if I can, and logistics.

I have been allowed to be at the main conference on Thursday and Friday, and will be attending as many sessions as I can, furiously taking notes to pass on to the forum over the coming months. So I won’t be able to attend Insider in person unfortunately, but I will try to join in for the web video sessions (which are free!)

Thanks for info about this Mike.
I can’t attend on that date, but look forward to your input on here following your attendance.

How would we access the web video sessions?

Was asking same as @SB2015- how do we access Insider content via webcast please. Presuming content will remain available? I may not be online when it's live.

I attended the insider event a couple of years ago in London, well worth it if you can get to it.

Just received a message that this conference has now been cancelled, which seems to be a sensible decision in the circumstances.
