Just wanted to say that my DSN at QM is great...

Been struggling with levels etc over the last week and finally gave in and rang last night about it - not only did she call me after she'd finished work and spent ages going through everything with me on the phone she has called this morning to check I'm ok and gave me her mobile number incase I have any issues when she is not at work...

Feel really taken care of today and thought she should get a mention as a good story of great medical care 🙂

That's it 🙂 hope you are all having a good day!

it is good to hear about DSNs that go the extra mile. perhaps we should 'name and shame' the bad ones 😱 well..... perhaps not

hope you don't mind me mentioning that DSN W at my surgery is an absolute angel :D

Hi All

Just to mention that generally we try to avoid mentioning HCPs by name on these boards, (in either positive or negative light!) so as not to get ourselves in any hot water with the folks concerned.

Hope you don't mind, but I've obscured the names where mentioned, though I'm sure they'd be chuffed to read such glowing praise 🙂

Great to hear 🙂 I was helped enormously by some fantastic DSNs in the months after diagnosis - I can remember at the time being really surprised that they really took their time to listen to me and no rushing through appointments like some of the early consultants I saw! The dreadful thing though is that many of them are moved onto other duties or not replaced when posts become vacant because of the cuts, even though we actually need more of them, not fewer :(

sorry about that..... thought mentioning DSN's first name would be ok. but I quite understand that it might not be appropriate 😱
