My 3 year license expires in November 2013. Before that I had a license for 2 years. Does anyone know / remember what the procedure is for renewing your license? (I can't remember what I did in 2010 to renew it). I checked the diabetes . Org website and it says that the GP surgery initiate the process but am unsure when they're supposed to start and therefore when I can expect a letter from them.
Thanks

You should get a renewal form from DVLA, as far as I remember. When you have returned it (take great care in answering the questions about hypos) they will write to your GP/Consultant. When they have the answer that you do not have hypos that require assistance then you should get another 3 yr renewal. If you haven't heard anything by say end Sept, I would ring DVLA and ask.

You should get it very soon, from DVLA, it's normally 3 months prior to expiry!

many thanks to you both!
I havent had any severe hypos so fingers crossed that wont change by the time I need to renew the licence 🙂
