Driving between diagnosis and restricted license

Hopefully a simple question but having struggled all day to get through to the DVLA I'm at my wit's end.

I have posted back my license as I now need a restricted one (3 years as new T1 and insulin).

Can I still drive until this new one comes back to me?!

Yes, you can, unless you sent your licence back because there is some reason why you wouldn’t be granted a new one, which as far as you know there isn’t, I assume.( The DVLA blurb talks about your doctor not having told you not to drive)

Providing you abide by the testing rules now applicable and can prove (from the memory on your meter) that you have - of course. If you aren't happy to do the latter - then NO!
