A man has been sentenced for causing the death of a cyclist on the A2 in 2012, after suffering a Diabetic attack at the wheel.
Charles Maxted, 53, from Glen Walk in Yorkletts pleaded guilty to death by dangerous driving at a hearing on 1 September 2014. His car hit Graham Epps at 7.40pm on the coastbound A2 at Boughton on August 3 2012.
He was sentenced to 15 months in prison and disqualified from driving for 20 years at Maidstone Crown Court on December 22.
Inspector Martin Stevens from the Roads Policing Unit at Kent Police said Mr Maxted have been “significantly lax” in monitoring his blood sugar levels.
