It doesn't work for me - I've only tried it for my evening meal and it's always resulted in high nighttime levels - probably needing an extended bolus but I can't risk it going to bed. I think for me I get all the carbs but just over a longer period.

I've tried Ciaocarbs Protopasta instead and this seems to give better results although the texture is not as true to normal pasta.

Both can be bought at the Low carb megastore (online).

Ive ordered it online few months ago. It has the same carb value as any other pasta but its GI is lower. It doesnt give rapid rise of sugar level so worth trying i think. It tastes quite good but to be honest i prefer "normal" pasta.

You might be interested in listening to or reading the transcript of this podcast. It's an interview with 2 researchers who did a small study using this pasta. Using non diabetic subjects, they essentially found no difference in the glucose response between it and normal pasta.
They were actually wanting it to work so that they could include it in the diets they use in their usual research.
