Hello,

I have T2D, diagnosed a few months ago and so far my control has been very good; I stay within 5-8.5 bar a couple of mishaps when I have craved ice cream and gone a bit OTT, eating it.

The problem I have is even though my BG falls within the aimed-for range, if it goes above 7.5 I get an intense prickling sensation across my head, neck and face. It isn't like the pre-diagnosis itching at all and actually makes me jump because it feels like I am being pricked by tiny needled from the inside out. I also get a prickling sensation in the back of my throat alongside a feeling of pressure in my head.

My BP is normal (115/75). I am on 1g SR Met, nocte.

Does anyone else experience this?
