This afternoon we were busy watching a programme on telly until just after 6pm. Then I went to cook tea and I could feel my Bg rising - shaky, sweaty, anxious. I tested just before eating tea at 7pm and was 9.4- a climb from 6.0 at 3.30pm and I had not eaten since 12ish (sausage, egg and spinach with a keto mini loaf).
We normally have tea over and done with by 6 at the latest.
Bg tested just now- down to 8.0 and feeling much more normal.
Is it possible my helpful liver did a dump as it thought I was not going to eat?

It may well be because your body thought you hadn't eaten enough, as you say. It is usual for you to have a virtually carb free lunch and then go that long before eating anything again?

Thanks for the reply @trophywench . I tend to eat two meals a day, roughly 10g carbs per meal. Normally both meals are eaten within an 8 hour window and normally eaten by 6pm at the latest but tonight tea was a bit late. I think whilst body is happy to have windows of 'fasting' eating 'later' than 7pm was something that has not happened for a few months.
