Sounds like your doing great mate, well done you
I was the original low carb warrior back in the day, way before it was mainstream, in fact quite the opposite, it was a fight to save the world from carbs then, I understand the ins and outs which is why I am embarrassed to be here writing this stuff, I have bought some good old Fage full fat yogurt which i'm reintroducing as my breakfast and ditching the cereal, I have just found I have slipped back into not low carbing, I am a huge fan of the lifestyle but have just found a moderate carb and healthy eating way has suited me better, if not suited my a1c quite so much, I still avoid pasta, rice, spuds etc, for example with spaghetti bolognaise I will swop the pasta for brocolli (last night) I am very well behaved with food, my wife cooks everything rather than buying sauces etc
The problem is I find the 40g a day diet too far for me, I was on or below 30g a day for years and it was amazing but I just don't feel like I want to do that forever, I am just too lazy, I would love to eat the way I am now forever but its not working for my bloods
I would not dream of eating anything sweet, cakes, milk chocolate, crisps etc etc,
This is my problem, I eat too well to be getting these silly high numbers which is why insulin is probly in my future for better or for worse
