That's great. I've never sponsored a puppy but I did do a sponsored swim three years ago and raised about £800 for my local guide dogs branch. My next door neighbour has a dog who was aspiring to be a guide dog but failed his exams.

i have a friend whos seeing impared and has a dog and he just inspired me to sponsor

I sponsored two puppies (one for myself, one on my partners behalf) a few years back. They send these adorable updates about them and even if the pup is 'unsuccessful' - doesn't pass the exams - they send an update about which family adopted them, how they're doing and 'appoint' a new puppy as a sponsored one <3
One thing I loved about the charity is that when I was in university, they would bring the puppies to a hall during exam times, so students could spend some time playing with them and destress. It was great for the pups to become desensitised to people, and definitely great for the students :star: so well done for supporting, Gail!

A couple of our friends used to do A Lot with the doggies because they had a large house and garden and would happily both walk miles, at first used to be regular 'new puppy' walkers and latterly used to dog sit certain retired ones (that they'd met along the way and already knew they liked!) so their families could go on holiday and everyone had respite from each other. Both (people 😉) in their 80s and unfortunately he became ill last year and died this January so I shouldn't think his wife will wish to continue doing it on her own, but as we don't live that close to each other, we just don't see her regularly now.
