Hi just joined after 50 years of type 1,its never too late

Hi @tfa and welcome 🙂 Yes, it's never too late. I don't suppose there's much you don't know about T1 after 50 years but it's always nice to be among people who know what you are going through. I'm sure there'll be some fellow T1ers along soon.

Welcome to the forum @tfa. Great to have your experience on here.
It would be great to hear how you manage your D: MDI, Pumping, Libre, CGM?

Hi and welcome from me too.

Good that you have found us at last as I am sure we will all benefit from your presence here on the forum. Always something new to learn with Diabetes, especially with the advances in technology but nothing like old fashioned seasoned experience as well.
How are you managing your diabetes. Are you on MDI or a pump? Which insulin(s)?
What would you say has been the biggest improvement in management techniques/technology since your diagnosis.

I hope you find the forum as helpful and beneficial as I have and perhaps make some new virtual friends in the process.
Can I recommend the "7-day waking average" thread as a place to get to know people. Irrespective of the title we use it to post our morning fasting reading and share a bit of our plans for the day or frustrations about misbehaving levels. It is a long post so don't feel obliged to read right through, just jump in tomorrow morning with your reading if you fancy it and we will look forward to getting to know you a little better.

Welcome to the forum Tfa.

Hello and welcome @tfa , glad you've joined us 🙂

I hope things have gone as well as possible for you over the last 50 years. A fair few changes along the way!

Hello and welcome to the forum @tfa 🙂

Welcome to the forum @tfa 🙂

We’ve a fair few long-term T1s here, so plenty for you to exchange memories with 🙂
