To measure her blood sugar, Jenna Schuiling could have pricked a finger. Instead, she cuddled with her Labrador retriever.
?Tanner, can you check me?? she asked the dog.
A quick sniff by the canine, followed by a high five from his paw, and Jenna knew the level was high.
?Good boy,? she told Tanner. ?Let?s go get a high treat.?

There was a fuss a while ago in the US because people were being sold untrained dogs over there. Dangerous, to say the least if you were led to believe you could depend on them, but thankfully the scam was exposed.
