Had a GP appointment today because I've had a really upset stomach for the past 2 - 3 weeks; have had IBS since the age of 15 but nothing like this...:( Anyway doctor is more concerned about the amount of weight I've lost and why I'm still losing...therefore, is making me an appointment for further investigation... can imagine embarrassing examination....😱

Good that GP is doing something, but I need to stay positive

P.S. Passed my Computerised Accounts exam with a first class pass today....

Hi Amanda
Congratulations on your first class pass, you worked hard for that and deserve it. Sorry about your tummy trouble, but at least it will be checked out and hopefully sorted quickly.

No need to get embarressed about the exam, he'll probably put a tiny camera down your throat and if it comes out the other end, everything is clear 😱:D

Best wishes
John.

Sorry to hear about the problems you've been having with your stomach Amanda, but I hope that the investigations can put your mind at rest. You have lost a lot of weight quite quickly, but you have worked very hard to achieve that, and I suppose it's possible that your doctor doesn't quite appreciate how hard you have worked. If the continued weightloss and stomach problems do turn out to be caused by something, I hope that it is easily treatable ad you can get back to feeling happier and healthier 🙂

And many congratulations on your exams!!! 🙂

I did the same with the weight loss Amanda, I think having changed our diet so much, it is psychologically difficult to up the calories to compensate for the lack of carbs.

Good luck with the check up.

Congrats on the exams🙂

Well done Amanda on your exam results 🙂 I was worried about you after your last post, glad to see you posting today, hopefully Dr's tests wouldnt be too bad and will help to ease your mind. Dad can't put weight on no matter how much he eats/snacks cutting back on carbs seems to be why he can't put weight on.

His big review starts next week with blood tests then the results/diabetes review the following week. I'm just hoping his weight has stayed even or he has gained as the last time he had lost even more despite eating. Hard to exercise and not burn up calories etc

Hope your tests will be over soon x

Thank you for your support guys; it just seems another thing to worry about but some good news - GP appointment yesterday and I received my hospital appointment letter this morning...appointment next Tuesday at Birmingham QE. I was a little worried about how quick the letter arrived but my mom reassured me this is now standard practice... 🙂
