Does anyone use 8mm needles?

I got a box of these in error (BD brand 8mm pen screw on needles) cos the GP prescribed the wrong thing 🙄

They are sitting in my kitchen, no point returning to the pharmacy as they would just bin them - can I post them to anyone?

I use 4mm mostly, sometimes 5mm (they bruise me alot!) so 8mm are not going near me 😱

I did when on MDI (though NovoFine), but now on pump. How about the org that sends insulin overseas (can't remember name... IDDT?)

I have just gone back to 8mm from 5mm, as I bruise easily and my consultant suggested 8s, as they go deeper and miss the surface capillaries.

If you can't find a home for them, don't throw them away, but have word with your DSN, as s/he might take them on to use, just to show newbies what needles are...

When Les has a box prescribed that was wrong he happened to mention it to our surgery dsn, and she said drop them off, I can use them to show newbies..

It's easy to use long needles - there's no need to insert up to the hilt. Might scare off newbies if DSNs show them long ones.

i would love these, i have run low and i have changed doctors and theyre not on my regular prescription requests, as i havent had to order any for so long but would save me taking time off to see the doctor if you could post these? how much wouldyou like for them?
