Hi, my 12 yr old daughter has been diabetic since 3. She would like to be able to talk to other children of her age about things, if anyone knows of any could you let me know.😛
 
Hi Clair. Welcome to the forum. 🙂

I'm slightly out of range at 46, but we do have a lot of parents with children around that age.🙂

Maybe one or two could swap details (via PM or email, etc) so your daughter can share experiences.

If there's anything you'd like to post about, do feel free to join in.

Hi Clair as Rob said theres a few parents on here with children in your daughters range im sure they would PM you etc..Especially as this is in genarel messageboard they wont miss it

Hi, have you joined Children With Diabetes? childrenwithdiabetesuk.org

They hold local meetups etc which would give your daughter a great opportunity to meet other young people with type 1.
 
Hi Heidi, thanks Aimee is on Facebook aswell. She has 2 accounts one normal and one for diabetes talk as she feels a bit embarrassed and doesn't want everyone at school seeing what she is writing about. Her name is Aimee (please PM for full name) and her picture is of her and her sister by a pool side. What is your sons name? 🙂

Just to make absolutely certain - you are Clair's daughter?
My daughter Carol (14) has registered here too. But she rarely checks in. She's "Carol/Davies" (Davies is not her surname), maybe you could try to PM her🙂 She has Facebook too. And we are going to the Birmingham Meet.

My son is called Nathan ... as soon as he wakes up .... ah the life of a 16 year old ... I will get all his info for facebook, Im pretty sure he has 2 accounts as well ... and I will pm them to you for Aimee
