What a non-diabetic's Hba1c would be? My friend's result was 5.3 and somebody told her that it was practically normal and that somebody without diabetes Would 5. Is this right?

from what I know it ranges from 3-7 might be 5-7

A non-diabetic HbA1C is between 3.5-5.5%.

I'm doing well then:D

So here's another thought. Would a non diabetic have this blood test done for anything else?

not sure faceman ...are you thinking are you really diabetic cos of those excellent last results? or have i got the wrong end of the stick here?

No I've accepted that fact now that I'll always be diabetic. I know that my results means that it appears that I'm managing my diabetes.
