Just wondering if going to bed late has an effect on FBG level? last night i went to bed around 2am and this morning i had a FBG of 7.4 which i haven't had in ages - it's normally low to high 6's. I had a few nuts before bedtime but can't think why i got this reading.

I don't know, but if you are not in your normal daily rhythm then I imagine your liver is more active for longer in releasing glucose, so this may account for it Carina. Did you sleep well? I sometimes find that after a restless night I wake to higher levels, possibly because my liver keeps thinking I'm about to wake up so puts out more glucose.

Cant say it has any effect on me, some nights im up till gone 1 other nights im i bed by 10 and im always round about 6.5-6.7 on waking.
