Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi all - new on here. 🙂
I have had Type 1 for 20 years.

Iwork as a Childrens Diabetes Specialist Nurse :D within the NHS. I'm looking for a copy of a TV programme shown again recently, about a young woman who abused her insulin as a teenager for weight reasons and now has severe visual and kidney problems. :(
If anyone has a copy or knows where i could get one I'd be most grateful.

Thanks.😉

Hiya, your best bet would be to ask the TV channel that screened it for a copy.

Was that the one with Dominic Littlewood where he was talking about eye tests? That featured a lady with diabetes-related eye problems. Unfortunately, it's not available on BBC iplayer.:(

Could you tell us the title of the programme?

I would try Diabetes UK. You could also try contacting the tv channel that broadcast it, or the company that made it, and stressing that you are using the programme for health education. I would also try googling it or looking on youtube.

It's a long shot, but maybe try contacting a specialist health library - I work for an academic library which specialises in Latin America and we record programmes which might be useful to our students, maybe other institutions do this too. You are unlikely to get your own copy this way but you may be able to organise a viewing of the library copy for your patients.
