Well what a day im so angry , When i was diagnosed the gp said to me i will be referred to the dietician as of this morning i heard nothing so i rang left a message and the diabetes nurse got back to me , I told her that i had heard nothing and when she went to find me on the computer she said we have no record of you being referred to us , so she went away rang me back and said we have rang referrels nobody has heard of you , well i was mad i said so if i had not of rang you today you would never even know i excisted,
anways she has made me an appt now she said we will have to fill all your details in and get you on our records but that should delay nothing i said at least some now knows i exist then.Why does the gp say they are going to refer some one and they dont fgs!:(:(

oh that was a shame but at least you made that call ir you would still be waiting!! must be very frustrating though, your on the ball and that's great:D
 
Hopefully a one-off but I can see how this would really annoy, and possibly upset you. It would get on my nerves and I'd be quite angry.

When I was first diagnosed with diabetes last November I had some issues with my prescriptions being messed up. I thought it was the pharmacy being silly beggars; until they showed me a prescription which was wrong, firmly placing the surgery I'm with as the culprits. So it could be that the GP did refer you but the request got lost somewhere along the line.
